How to Build Your Own MOD Pizza
MOD's national menu page walks through four steps under “How to MOD.” This guide follows those steps and points to The MOD when you want a full custom pizza, or a signature when you want a starting recipe you can still change. Browse the complete MOD Pizza menu for checked prices on The MOD and every signature.

MOD's four build steps
These headings are MOD's own wording from its menu page. The notes under each step are how that step appeared on the checked restaurants' online menus.
Select your size SMALL OR REGULAR
MOD's menu lists this as the first step. Small is a 6-inch thin crust. Regular is an 11-inch thin crust. On an 11-inch pizza you can switch to thick, cauliflower or gluten-friendly crust for more money. Details are in the sizes and crusts guide.
Build the foundation SAUCE OR GREENS
For a pizza, pick a base such as tomato, spicy tomato, BBQ, creamy alfredo, buffalo, garlic rub, olive oil or pesto, or no sauce. For a salad, start with romaine or mixed greens. The full list is on the toppings and sauces guide.
Load it up UNLIMITED TOPPINGS, ONE PRICE
MOD says toppings are unlimited for one price. On the three checked online menus, no sauce, cheese, meat or veggie carried a charge. The price changed only when you changed the size or crust.
Finish it in style FINISHING SAUCE OR DRESSING
Add a finishing drizzle (for example balsamic fig glaze, ranch or Mike's Hot Honey) or a salad dressing. The online menus also offered bake styles such as Light Bake or Extra Crispy. Those choices did not change the listed food price at the checked restaurants.
Where to start
- The MOD if you want to choose every ingredient.
- A signature pizza if you want a published recipe you can then add to or strip back.
- The MOD Salad if you want greens instead of crust.
Editorial starting points
These are not official named menu items. They are suggestions that use toppings MOD already lists, so you can see how a custom order is built.
- Simple cheese: tomato sauce, mozzarella and asiago. That is the same ingredient list as Maddy's Favorite, which MOD already prices as its starter pizza.
- Pepperoni plus veg: start from OG Pepperoni and add mushrooms or peppers from the topping bar.
- No tomato sauce: olive oil or garlic rub, then cheese and toppings. Firebird and Perfect Pesto already use non-tomato bases if you want a published example.
What sets the price
At the checked restaurants, the food price followed the size and crust. Taxes, delivery fees and tips are added at checkout and are not food prices. See what costs extra.

Calories
MOD does not publish a calorie total for The MOD. Add the crust figure to the per-serving topping figures on the toppings guide. Those servings are ¼ cup or 1 tablespoon, and the amount on your pizza may differ. Signature pizzas have one published total each, without a stated size or crust.
This site does not take orders

Frequently asked questions
Is The MOD the only build-your-own pizza?
The MOD is the named build-your-own pizza. Every signature pizza on the checked online menus also let you remove its default ingredients and add extras. The price still followed the size and crust.
Do extra toppings cost more?
MOD's menu says unlimited toppings, one price. The three checked online menus did not charge for added toppings. Alternative crusts did cost more.
Can I build a salad the same way?
Yes. The MOD Salad uses the same topping list. Salad sizes are Mini, MOD and Mega on the national menu, shown as Small, Regular and Large online.
